SuiCMC 2011

September 26th, 2011

As you might know, the Swiss Cycle Messenger Championships took place in Winterthur and Zurich last weekend. Here are a few impressions from sunday’s main race. Interesting course, quite some distance. Well organized and beautiful weather. Rankings and some more information you’ll find here (one day).

The stable as it stands today

September 20th, 2011

oh geeeeeeez, so much has happened since the last time we updated the site.

our own Ivan has relocated to Buenos Aires for half a year. The others are still in Zurich still working and are successful in their own rights (star architect, marketing master par excellence, master of fine arts, etc)
Summer in switzerland was pretty good considering, global warming was a hoax in that it doesn’t just get warmer, but just weirder.. just yesterday it snowed 40 cm in the mountains. pretty early in the year!

anyhoo, some of the gents have rented a garage, for the ol’ motorcycles (that’s right), and it has evolved into an all around fun place. hanging out, fixing bikes, fixing motorcycles, shooting the shit, watching movies, etc..

there will be posts about it in the near future.. yay.

We got mail

Mexico’s Bikes Pt. 2

March 14th, 2011

I saw a lot of bikes like this one mostly in Mexico City. I love the double toptube and the breaking system. I still havent figured out what the weird geometry and double toptube construction is about.

Hints are welcome.

Mexico’s Bikes Pt. 1

February 23rd, 2011

On my 3 week journey through Mexico i tried to take some pictures of typical bikes they use there. This Cargo-Bike similiar vehicle is used by mostly poor people to carry around their tacos, fruit and vegetables. You dont have real handlebars, the whole front part is your steering wheel which make it pretty easy to ride. And they’re all one-geared of course!

I’d love one of these!!!

wow

FROM STEEL: The Making of a Soulcraft from michael evans on Vimeo.

Makes me want a toolshop and some serious serious fabrication skills. What a beautiful bike too! Just amazing.
