Tour De France 2010
July 28th, 2010
I visited Paris over the weekend to see the final stage of the Tour de France. The general classification was set, only the sprinter-teams were expected to deliver some action to get the last points for the green jersey. But it was great to feel the atmosphere and see the racers on site. As you might notice, I didn’t get a spot right at the front at Champs-Elysées. That’s what happens, when you don’t bring your camp-chair and a filled cooling box. Nevertheless I saw the pack riding by and experienced how much and how little 39 seconds actually are, in some way.

Two hours before the riders turn into the street, a whole parade of sponsoring vehicles are making their appearance.

The Livestrong chalk bot.

Eight times up and down Champs-Elysées over cobble stone before the “grande boucle” is over.

I think we’ve seen this before. Looks halfway similar to last year’s winners.
Let’s see what 2011 will bring!
