What a wonderful weekend to ride out. Autumn weather at its best.

I did a little trip out of Zurich and back in.

I’d say one horsepower.

Dead end in Geroldswil.

Almost made it into the mountains.

Beautiful views….

I’m not a poor lonesome cowboy, but riding into the sunset is nice nevertheless.

Sad news, that one of our favorite bike shops in town closes its doors for good. Biroma Binz is out of business by the end of this month. Don’t panic now, they still have another shop in the city, but this was really “our” address to go to.

Now it’s no surprise that the great staff there, instead of weeping all day long, throws a decent good-bye-party this saturday. If you are in town stop by for beers, vodka and BBQ.

Farewell!!

Well, yes, it is pretty much autumn already. As frustrating that is on the one hand, it is one of the nicest times to ride on the other hand. Armwarmers is the way to go!

I had some time this saturday to visit our favorite bike shops. It seemed that although it was a very nice day a lot of people have stored away their bicycle by now. Maybe it’s too cold already? I don’t know. But thanks to that, we had some time to talk. First at Biroma Binz about Eurobike and all the new stuff for 2011.

I haven’t seen any girls in the store though.

Next stop was opignon. Pure coincidence that Wälde was wearing our shirt, I swear.

It is colorful in there, no doubt.

Now and then a ride is even more satisfying than usually. This time our route included hills, forest, a lake circuit and long flat roads, a diverse ride overall. Combined with ideal weather and a superb meal at Rössli afterwards, it was particularly nice trip!

Feels good to actually have some space for riding once in a while.

As mentioned before, every tuesday evening you can catch a glimpse of track racing and back in the days sports culture!

“Cyclists dismount, use sidewalk”

The bike lane usually is the first thing getting closed down by the city’s road construction. No detour, just walk your bike past. Always shows us, that biking still isn’t as important for transportation as it should be.

Nice ride and then enjoying the BBQ. What better way to spend a sunday?

Always good to cross different kinds of surroundings. Fresh strawberries or McD ? All around the corner…
